How to paint
What is Paint by Number?
Paint by number (or painting by numbers) describes kits having a board on which light blue or grey lines indicate areas to paint, each area having a number and a corresponding numbered paint to use. The kits were invented, developed and marketed in 1950 by Max S. Klein, an engineer and owner of the Palmer Paint Company of Detroit, Michigan and Dan Robbins, a commercial artist.Visit www.DiyOilPaintings.com for more details!
How to paint by numbers
Paint-by-Number is an enjoyable pastime. Sometimes, however, all the tiny spaces with even tinier numbers can be a bit daunting and confusing. With practice, you can create beautiful art. Here are some steps for you to follow on how to paint by numbers.
-
Before starting the painting, cover an area with some old newspaper to keep it clean. Get a cup of water to wash your brush as well as some dry rags.
-
Take the paint containers marked with numbers out and read the direction on the box.
-
Start the first area with paints marked with corresponding number and make sure every area with the same number has been filled.
-
Wash the brush after you finish one number and dry it with the rag.
-
Fill every area left with new colors correspond to the numbers mark on the paint containers and wait until the painting is totally dry.
-
Frame your newly-created masterpiece and display it on the place you’d like to.
